Regular Chain Wear Checks - Save on expensive parts

Regular Chain Wear inspections can save on unecessary premature expensive replacement parts.  If you catch chain wear early enough you will get away with just replacing the chain.  Leave it until the chain is totally worn and you will need to replace the cassette and perhaps even the Chainset which can be quite expensive.  For the cost of a chain wear indicator from £5-£6 pounds you can keep your bike on the road for less.  Most chain wear indicators will have two measurements, one to tell you to replace the chain as it is starting to wear, the second tells you you have left it too late and must replace other components also.  https://the-dogs-wheels.myshopify.com/products/topeak-chain-hook-and-wear-checker-measurer-indicator-tool-mtb-bicycle-bike
